The temple door

spirituality, coming of age, evolvement, poetry, steven humphreys

the vacation begins

with or without me

for today

I am not going to go

anywhere

but

where I am

right now

I will stay

I will be as the shadow

there will be no substance

left to me

I will be absorbed

silence

calmness

gentle breeze

letting go

of wanting

I want not today

I ask nothing

of me

I take nothing

from this world

I will not hurry

it is my day off

to bathe in

your

eternal

vibrations

of light

and darkness.

I have no one

to answer to

in this

frozen moment

in time

as, I lie

on your

living

blanket

I am forever in

your gratitude

my trees, grass,

birds, sky

and

brook

who

babbles

deep below

in the

canyon

for

the sum of

you

have saved

my soul

so that

tomorrow

the temple

door

can open

again

that

much wider.
