Riding on a camel

riding on a camel, desert, arabia, hot

Riding on a camel

living like an animal

turban on

my head

misanthropic

sweat

dripping down

in dread

walking deep

in

waking sleep

tanning lines

souls

in

urns

trapped in time

full of ashes

blue and black

waving fans

soiled

and burned

slaves

in toil

taking turns

men sit able

facing back to

trodden roads

they squat in

tents and lean on tables

cool iced coffee

tales and fables

throes of

women

old

slow snails

smoking rows

bees and honey

cell phones

oil and money

date palms

waving

sultry

weather

breeze

is

balmy

tethered

printed

psalms

in

leather

selling ware

ill

at ease

Arabian lair

wearing sashes

herding sheep.
