eternal fog

which rose

up from

his garden

moonlight was

flowing through

in the dawn

of his new day

a form was

within this

ethereal mass

he couldn’t

tell if it were

A man

A spirit

An animal

he couldn’t

quite make it out

As he walked closer…

this man

couldn’t discern

the thing were evil

or good

In that moment

it told him something

without voice

without words

‘move on from earthly things’

As the young man

stood still

what came to his mind

was what kind

of man

he’d become

years from
