Days and nights of wine

Drunken

memories

of thou

sweet

winebibber

a bequeath

of

fragrant

flowers

flavors

and

aromas

lifted

thine spirit

saving us both

in the nick of time

floating in glass

like its cork

lies our

bared souls

many a time

tilted

but no wine

turned sour

between us!

it sweetened

that much more

with every sip

by our mere presence

oh

loneliness

oh

bitter stone cold

loneliness

left the room

it seemed

forever

it filled us

to our brim

with

a new feeling

of hope

discovery

and deeper

understanding

of ourselves

after all

god

saved us

he gave

within

the next

bottle

of

elixir

‘anticipation’

arousing our senses

to that inexplicable

something

we swore

made

life

worth

living
