Pieces of Brain

Pieces of brain

You’re in the

darkness now

not behind

the plow

Is it that

we bore

the

plowing tool

or

part our hair

so unfair?

You may sell

all your wares

but what

you didn’t

know

was

everyone parts

their hair

on the wrong

side of town

You take

your walk

at midnight

walking with

your stick

in delight

leaning on

tomorrow

suffering black

plight

on sorrow

itching feeling

mindfully sick

Future

past

present

where

is it really

but in memory

as soon

as it walks

with you

across that bridge

filled with a multitude

of unpredictable

unknowns

Somehow

sometimes

you just seem

to get lost

And

that’s not such

a bad thing

after all

The thing

that will be made

but never born

will live on

without you

and I

This face of clay

knows not why

his heart is

in so many

fragile pieces

He knows

they are there

and

just goes on

The quake

is nigh

the shake

is near

No matter

how high

we all will tremble

in fear

in the rubbish

below

Yes

bartender

I know

it’s almost

closing time

but

I wish not

to be stopped

in how

I senselessly

ramble on

But

you are wrong

I haven’t

had enough

How bout’

just one more

for the road

and

I’ll be on my

merry way?

I am told

Say goodbye

say hello

Be a good

fellow

be

mellow

I

see

the

colors

forming

behind you

on the wall
