The mountain top echoes

Can you hear it?

Oh, lazy boy!

What are we to do with you?

Your carnal skin ripens like a peeled banana

In the distance stands L.A.

Skyscrapers pierce smoggy clouds like concrete knives

The Uber taxi

Drops you off at the nearest cliff

You are thinking you’re goanna end it all

But, you decide instead to throw your pebbles as far as your eyes can see

You kick off your shoes Walking slowly with bared feet

And, Stand under the brown bushy squirrel as he looks down laughing his head off cracking open a nut chewing it

The shells fall in your hair

You brush them off

Remember that God awful Thing you hated most when you were a teen

Well, you finally became it, didn’t you?

We learned we had to kiss the butts of those cold hearted phony bastards to keep our lousy soul killing jobs

That’s the nature of insidiousness

It seeped in while we slept through the decades

You realize you must go back to that heartless city!

And, teach those Worker Ants who live in that crowded valley down there to Yodel like you do

before your words get banned

Echo ever so loudly

Against that noisy machine we call making an honest living
