Desideratum

The shrill desert wind blows dry on my wicked unshaven face

The Gecko pops out of a Heineken bottle

He licks his eye catching the ant crawling on it

Paltry desert

Yuccas and cactus swarm honing in smothering me

They bristle in the sun as it drops behind a mountain

The nightshade slowly drawn by an angry hand

I crawl as my shirt tightens around my neck

I walk as sweat drips burning my swollen eyes

I thirst and drink dust

Deserted, I

Y Usted, Roboto

Yes, I am Frankenstinian defector

Wandering

No place to go

Cookie cutter

Jell-o mold fits over my head forming my brain

Roses are red and blue I hand to you in Hell

Thorns dripping with blood

Geckos flying

Crickets sing their glorious symphony

Wind me up Robot

The plastic man can

Wake me up

I’m never driving in that goddamned bumper to bumper freeway traffic again!

Walk on

Walk on

Kicking sand in front of me

For another fifty years

Desiderata
